Underground Racing Unleashes First Twin-Turbo Lamborghini Revuelto
When Lamborghini’s standard 1,001 horsepower isn’t enough, Underground Racing steps in with a solution that would make even Sant’Agata engineers raise their eyebrows.
Double the Power, Double the Insanity
Underground Racing has officially built the world’s first twin-turbocharged Lamborghini Revuelto. The North Carolina-based tuning house didn’t waste time getting their hands on Lamborghini’s flagship hybrid hypercar.
They’ve taken the stock 6.5-liter V12 – already producing a screaming 813 hp at 9,250 rpm and 535 lb-ft of torque – and strapped on their Titanium Twin Turbo system.
The result? A projected 2,000 horsepower. That’s double the factory output.
This isn’t some half-baked modification. Underground Racing equipped the Revuelto with:
- Billet wheel Precision turbochargers
- Custom JRR M1 engine management system
- Full integration with the hybrid powertrain’s three electric motors
The most impressive part? They’ve accomplished this without tearing into the engine internals. This first build uses the completely stock motor, preserving the factory warranty while doubling the output.
Testing Underway, More Power Coming
Underground Racing is currently testing their twin-turbo Revuelto before its debut at the Texas 1/2 mile event.
Videos from the shop show the car already undergoing dyno testing with its distinctive twin-turbo soundtrack – a far cry from the naturally-aspirated howl that left the factory.
For those who somehow find 2,000 horsepower inadequate, Underground Racing is already developing full engine builds to handle even more boost.
The Hybrid Hypercar Revolution
The stock Revuelto represents Lamborghini’s first production plug-in hybrid, combining that naturally-aspirated V12 with three electric motors.
Adding forced induction to this already complex powertrain required sophisticated integration of the engine management systems.
Underground Racing’s ability to double the output while maintaining the hybrid functionality demonstrates the untapped potential in Lamborghini’s architecture.
For perspective, this modified Revuelto now produces roughly the same power as two Bugatti Chirons – but with the dramatic flair only a twin-turbocharged Lamborghini V12 can deliver.
The price for such performance remains undisclosed. But when you’re already spending north of $600,000 on the base car, what’s another six figures for double the horsepower?
