BMW finally answered the prayers of speed-hungry parents everywhere. The M3 CS Touring combines track-ready performance with enough space for hockey gear and groceries.
Practical Performance on Steroids
The M3 CS Touring packs BMW’s twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six, now cranked up to 550 hp and 650 Nm of torque. That’s a 20 hp bump over the already-quick M3 Competition Touring.
Numbers don’t lie. This family hauler rips from standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds before maxing out at an electronically-limited 300 km/h.
Carbon fiber isn’t just for supercars anymore. BMW slathered it across the hood, splitter, mirrors, rear diffuser, and spoiler. Each piece shaves grams while reminding Porsche owners they’re getting passed by a wagon.
The chassis doesn’t mess around either. BMW’s M xDrive system offers three distinct personalities:
- 4WD for when you need to get somewhere fast regardless of weather
- 4WD Sport for when you want the rear end to step out just enough to impress
- 2WD drift mode for when the kids aren’t in the car and you’ve got tire money to burn
Not Coming to America
Europeans get all the good stuff. The M3 CS Touring launches March 2025 across Europe, Australia, Japan, and South Korea.
American enthusiasts will continue their tradition of staring longingly at forbidden European wagons while buying another crossover.
Weaponized Practicality
Carbon-ceramic brakes bring this beast to a halt with authority. They’re available in your choice of red or gold calipers, depending on whether you want your neighbors to notice your $100,000+ grocery-getter.
The cabin maintains BMW’s driver-focused layout but adds carbon-fiber trim and CS-specific touches. Bucket seats hold you in place while the digital dash reminds you this isn’t a regular 3 Series.
BMW created the ultimate split-personality vehicle. It hauls the family during the week and hunts Porsches on Sunday track days.
The M3 CS Touring proves you don’t need to choose between practicality and performance. You just need a bigger budget.
